The Buzz: Back to nature

The slow recovery from the Great Recession means many Americans of modest means still aren’t springing for lavish vacations, but a campground in Texas reports booming business thanks to such outdoorsy attractions as live bands, laser tag and chocolate pudding slip-and-slides.

They might as well replace all the campsite firepits with fireplace videos on 65-inch flat-screen TVs.

Must-see TV: Rabid fans of “Scandal” wonder what they’ll do now that the over-the-top ABC series starring Kerry Washington has gone on hiatus.

Relax, “Scandal” fanatics, and go camping in Texas, where you can switch the flat-screens from the fireplace video to “Scandal” reruns streaming on Hulu.

Small offerings: During a visit to Graceland on Sunday, Paul McCartney left a guitar pick at Elvis Presley’s mansion so The King can, in Sir Paul’s words, “play in heaven.”

But if Elvis were to return from the afterlife, it doesn’t seem likely that he’d go looking for a guitar pick. One of those grilled peanut butter, bacon and banana sandwiches, sure. And probably some Percodan.
