One lump or two? Filing for political office in Washington state begins today and continues through Friday.

  • Didn’t know Ahmadinejad had a stunt double: Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton expects Iran to “pull some stunt” in coming days as the United Nations considers sanctions over the country’s nuclear program.

Iran’s going to have to work pretty hard if it hopes to do better than North Korea’s sinking of a South Korean naval vessel to qualify for David Letterman’s next segment of “Stupid Nation Tricks.”

  • Not much fun for the bull, either: A 12-year-old bullfighter successfully killed his first bull in a Mexico City ring, but then was tossed around by a second bull and taken away on a stretcher. Even so, the experience left “a good taste in my mouth,” the boy said.

Moms, you can expect this clipping to be shown to you by your sons wanting to play football and your daughters wishing to join a roller derby team as an example of “see, it’s not as dangerous as bullfighting.”
