Regarding Herald columnist Tom Burke’s recent column (“Are you easily deceived by grifters? Take this quiz,” The Herald, Aug. 29):
I seldom read his column as I find him so far to the left that he is in danger of falling off the planet. However, the headline intrigued me as he was proposing a 20-question quiz in which a person could determine if they were a sucker, foolish or just plain stupid.
Interestingly enough I know a few people who support Trump and I find that they seem reasonable and can discuss politics intelligently without any rancor. I certainly would not classify them as foolish or stupid. But I decided to go ahead and take the quiz to see in which category I should place these friends.
My conclusion upon completing the quiz was that this man not only hates Trump, but he really hates Trump. He seemed to be overly concerned of how Trump supporters spend their money. If my dictionary is correct, then a donation is a free bequeath of a gift.
My ultimate opinion is that this man has a problem and that he is in desperate in need of serious help, either that or he is writing something that he thinks will sell to his audience.
