Duck! The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says that a giant hailstone, weighing 1 pound, 15 ounces and measuring 8 inches in diameter broke the U.S. record.
The man who found the hailstone says it was 3 inches larger when he found it, but he had to use it to ice down his beer and the walleye he caught that morning.
Ooh, that’s going to sting: A provision in recently passed federal health care reforms will require businesses to file tax forms for every vendor that sells them more than $600 in goods, paperwork that is estimated to bring in an additional $19 billion in tax revenue over 10 years.
