VANCOUVER, B.C. — Vancouver pitchers held the Everett offense in check for the second straight game and the Canadians earned a 7-0 win over the AquaSox on Wednesday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.
A day after managing just four hits and one run over 12 innings, the AquaSox were held to just three hits, two by Harry Ford, in the shutout loss.
Everett (48-44, 14-12 second half) rallied to load the bases on three straight walks with no outs in the ninth inning, but Cole Young and Hogan Windish struck out and Ford flied out to end the game.
Gabriel Martinez homered twice and drove in four runs for the Canadians (57-34, 19-7).
