The Everett Silvertips had a brief ice session today before boarding the bus to Spokane, where they will face the Chiefs at 7 at Spokane Arena.
I spoke with new Silvertip Jaeger White for Wednesday’s preview and he had some interesting things to say. He noted the difference between Everett and Lethbridge on the defensive side, calling the Silvertips “more defensively detailed.”
“There’s a difference in the systems,” he said. “There are a lot of names for little things. There is more than one defensive system depending on where the puck is. On the defensive side I think it’s a little different than Lethbridge, but it’s good to get new habits.”
He said this was his first time in Everett because he was hurt when Lethbridge made the journey last season.
The Tips, of course, have already played at Lethbridge this season and dropped a 4-3 decision.
