Newman, a junior, scored 25 points — seven in the fourth quarter — to help the Falcons top South Whidbey 75-71 in a Cascade Conference battle.

Erwin Weary, G, Cedar Park Christian-Mountlake Terrace

Weary, a senior, scored 33 points to lift the Lions past Tulalip Heritage 58-54 in a battle of two of Northwest 1B’s best.

Alex Gallaher, G/W, Kamiak

Gallaher, a senior, led a balanced scoring effort by the Knights with 19 points as they beat Monroe 77-66 in a Wesco 4A matchup.

RaeQuan Battle, G/W, Marysville Pilchuck

Battle, a junior, scored a game-high 27 points as the Tomahawks thrashed cross-town rival Marysville Getchell 75-47 in a Wesco 3A contest.

Irena Korolenko, Cedar Park Christian

Korolenko, a sophomore, posted a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles defeated South Whidbey 42-35 in a Cascade Conference battle.

Kate Pohland, F, Everett

Pohland, a senior, scored 35 points to lead the Seagulls to a 61-48 win over Oak Harbor in Wesco 3A action.

Josh Cunningham, Snohomish wrestling

Cunningham, a senior 160-pounder, pinned Glacier Peak’s Easton Howe in 1:38 to help spur the Panthers past Glacier Peak 40-36 in a rivalry dual.
