Huskies get a commitment for 2010… and maybe a new O-line coach

Both rivals.com and scout.com are reporting that Lakes High School DE Sione Potoae, one of the state’s top recruits for next year, has made a verbal commitment to play at Washington. Potoae was one of severall underclassmen to take an unofficial visit to the UW over the weekend, including Skyline quarterback Jake Heaps, considered one of top recruits in the country for next year.

Potoae is the second member of the 2010 class to commit to Washington along with fullback Zach Fogerson of O’Dea High School. Fogerson, the younger brother of UW safety Johri Fogerson, committed last fall to the previous staff.

Also, scout.com and realdawg.com are reporting that the Huskies are close to naming Arizona State assistant Dan Cozzetto as their new offensive line coach. There’s been nothing to confirm that from the school yet, but I’ll be back with more if there is.
