Marte’s 3-run home run keys AquaSox win over Indians

The 20-year-old shortstop drives in four runs in Everett’s 5-4 victory.

SPOKANE — Noelvi Marte blasted a three-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give Everett a one-run lead and the AquaSox held on for a 5-4 win over the Spokane Indians on Saturday night.

Marte also had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and Marysville Pilchuck alum Trent Tingelstad added a run-scoring single in the second inning for the AquaSox.

Isaiah Campbell worked around a walk and a single in the ninth and earned his fifth save of the season for Everett (33-34).

Braiden Ward, Zac Veen, Grant Lavigne, Julio Carreras and Nic Kent all had two hits for Spokane (34-32), which totaled 13 hits in the game but left eight men on base and grounded into two double plays.
