Six Shorecrest swimmers hit 3A state qualifiers while handing Shorewood first league loss

Shorecrest 120, Shorewood 66

SNOHOMISH — Despite finishing second in the 200 individual medley, Shorecrest’s Tristan Serrano (1 minute, 58.44 seconds) eclipsed the 3A state meet qualifying time of 1:59.00 in addition to Shorewood’s Frederick Anderson, who won the event at 1:56.32. Serrano also qualified in the 100 butterfly (52.41) and as part of the 400 freestyle relay alongside Colton Stoecker, Kason Kirkpatrick and Ian Reece (3:18.15). Stoecker and Kirkpatrick were also part of the state-qualifying 200 medley relay with Deming Gates and Zander Muilenburg (1:38.87). With six swimmers hitting state qualifiers, the Scots (8-0-0, 4-0-0) cruised past the Stormrays (7-1-0, 3-1-0) to remain undefeated and hand Shorewood its first league loss.

MUKILTEO — Syunta Lee hit 4A state qualifying times in the 50 freestyle (21.62 seconds) and 100 butterfly (50.93), and Vyron Domingo qualified in the 100 backstroke (52.8) in the narrow victory for the Timberwolves (6-2-0, 5-1-0) against the Knights (6-2-0, 2-1-0).
