EDMONDS — Edmonds-Woodway’s Ian Michael scattered three hits over six innings of scoreless baseball, and the Warriors fought off a late comeback attempt in an 8-5 win over Snohomish in a 3A District 1 Tournament elimination game Wednesday.
Thomas Blahous went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Warriors (14-9), who clinched their sixth state regional berth in the last nine season with the win.
Edmonds-Woodway will play Arlington in a seeding game on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Davis Buckner went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and three RBI for Snohomish (11-12), which scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Gunnar Whitelaw, but the Warriors held on for the win.
Whitelaw went 2-for-4 with three RBI, and Remy Heckman went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and scored twice for the Warriors.

Issaquah 5, Jackson 2
EVERETT — The Eagles defeated the Timberwolves in an elimination game in the 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament on Wednesday at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Jackson’s season ends at 15-8. Issaquah improved to 15-8 with the win and will play Monroe in a winner-to-state game Friday at 4 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The 3A District 1 boys soccer championship match between Marysville Pilchuck and Meadowdale has been moved to Friday at 5 p.m. at Shoreline Stadium, Tomahawks coach Paul Bartley said.
The game, originally scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. in Shoreline, was moved to accommodate Marysville Pilchuck’s prom. Bartley said Meadowdale agreed to play a day early.
