Seahawks vs. Lions inactives: K.J. Wright makes season debut

Seattle’s All-Pro linebacker returns from his knee injury; Damon Harrison debuts for Detroit.

Here are the inactives for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions at Ford Field:

SEATTLE (3-3)

Inactive: CB Neiko Thorpe, SS Maurice Alexander, LB Emanuel Ellerbee, C Joey Hunt, G Jordan Simmons, DT Nazair Jones, DE Rasheem Green.

Notes: Today is like Christmas for the Seahawks’ defense as it gets K.J. Wright back. The Pro Bowl WLB has been out all season while recovering from knee surgery. His return bolsters a defense that seems to have found its footing. Seattle also has the services of TE Ed Dickson for the first time this season. The former Carolina Panther, signed as a free agent during the offseason to be the starter, was placed on IR before the season began because of a groin injury. Otherwise Seattle, coming off its bye, is relatively healthy, with DE Dion Jordan (knee) and TE Nick Vannett (back) returning from minor injuries. Special teams standout Thorpe (groin) and depth OL Simmons (calf) sit after being listed as doubtful, while Green (ankle) can’t make it back after being listed as questionable.

DETROIT (3-3)

Inactive: WR TJ Jones, RB Theo Riddick, CB Lenzy Pipkins, DE Kerry Hyder, G Joe Dahl, T Andrew Donnal, DE Ezekiel Ansah.

Notes: It’s a bit like Christmas for Detroit, too, as the Lions unwrap their newest present in former All-Pro DT Damon Harrison. Harriaon, acquired from the New York Giants this week in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick, should help a run defense that came in ranked 29th in the NFL. However Ansah (shoulder), the team’s top pass rusher who the team hoped to get back this week, doesn’t play. Riddick (knee), the team’s third-down back, also remains out. However, starting MLB Jarrad Davis (calf) dresses after being listed as questionable.
