BASEBALL STARS

Meadowdale’s Chris Osborne finished 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and three stolen bases to help Meadowdale clinch at least a tie for the Wesco 3A crown with a win over the Seagulls. … Edmonds-Woodway’s Patrick Bernard pitched seven innings of one-hit baseball, striking out five and shutting out Mariner as the Warriors clinched the top spot in the Wesco South. … Cedarcrest’s Tyler Reeves hit a two-run single to key a four-run first inning and Nick Cardon earned the win, pitching four scoreless frames, as the Red Wolves beat Sultan. … Lake Stevens’ Jake Nelson finished 2-for-4 with four RBI to lead the Vikings over Snohomish, which got a home run from Jordan Ridley. … Mountlake Terrace’s Chris Hall batted 3-for-4 with three runs scored as the Hawks beat Shorecrest, which got a home run and four RBI from Kevin Millet. … Jake Campbell went 3-for-4 and Josh James hit two doubles as the Spartans beat Arlington. … Granite Falls’ James Barnard went 5-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI as the Tigers swept Lakewood in a doubleheader to tie the Cougars in third place in the Cascade Conference. … Archbishop Murphy’s Eric Lawson went 3-for-4 including a solo home run and Levi MaVorhis went 3-for-4 with two doubles as the Wildcats beat Nathan Hale. … Glacier Peak’s Tyler Parker threw five shutout innnings and gave up just two hits and Josh May was 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Grizzlies beat Marysville Getchell. … South Whidbey’s Jack White had a two-run home run as the Falcons beat Coupeville.

SOFTBALL STARS

Granite Falls’ Jamie Alexander had an RBI single with two outs in the sixth to give the Tigers the lead and Jessica Mueller was 3-for-4 in a win over Archbishop Murphy. … Jackson’s Juliana Faulconer went 3-for-3 and Erin Bueser had a three-run home run as the Timberwolves beat Lake Stevens. … Marysville Pilchuck’s Jordan Nicholson went 3-for-4 with four runs scored, three RBI and two triples and Monica Clow went 3-for-3 with four RBI as the Tomahawks beat Mariner. … Mountlake Terrace’s Maddy Kristjanson finished 3-for-3 with two doubles and six RBI as the Hawks solidfied their grip on second place in Wesco 3A. … Cedarcrest’s Kailyn Campbell’s fourth RBI of the game knocked in Taylor Turner with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to complete the Red Wolves’ comeback from a 4-0 deficit. Turner finished the game with two hits, three runs scored and three stolen bases. … Lynnwood’s Jessica Gott tossed a two-hit shutout as the Royals beat Edmonds-Woodway.

BOYS SOCCER STARS

Cascade goalkeeper Joey Birnbaum saved a couple Mariner breakaways early in the first half and a penalty kick in the second half to record the shutout and lead the Bruins to a Wesco South win. … Lake Stevens’ Jonas Verbruggen scored an 85th minute, overtime goal to seal a league victory over Monroe. … Archbishop Murphy’s Josh Bartley scored four goals as the Wildcats finished off Cascade Conference play undefeated. … Cedarcrest freshman Kyle Walsh had a hat trick and two assists for the Red Wolves in a win over Sultan.

GIRLS TENNIS STARS

Glacier Peak’s Sierra Wright and Parker Bahner won eight of the last nine points to clinch the win at No. 2 doubles for the Grizzlies, who went on to beat Everett 4-3.
