The regular season is history. It’s playoff time.

I wonder if any upcoming football games will match the one I covered Friday night. In terms of intensity, offensive excitement and final-minute drama, the Lake Stevens versus Snohomish game was the best I’ve seen this year.

Snohomish barely outlasted Lake Stevens, 49-48. But both teams earned a berth in the Class 4A quad-district playoffs.

Other District 1 football brackets and postseason schedules for other fall sports are available here.

Back to football: The Tacoma News Tribune posted its Week 10 football rankings. Here they are, with Marysville-Pilchuck ranked in 4A and Archbishop Murphy ranked in 2A.
