Thursday evening saw the return of a legend.
Ichiro Suzuki starred for the Seattle Mariners from 2001-12, winning two American League batting titles, one AL MVP award and making 10 All-Star games during his time roaming right field for the team. The 44-year-old reunited with the Mariners during spring training, and as the No. 9 batter in Seattle’s order for Thursday’s season opener against the Cleveland Indians he was the final player introduced.
Here’s the reception Ichiro received from the fans at Safeco Field.
