The Granite Falls High School eco car team, along with Granite’s Urban Auto team, is preparing for an upcoming competition in Texas in early April.
More than 1,000 students, in both high school and college, will take part in the seventh annual Shell Eco-marathon competition April 4-7 in Houston.
This is Sethi’s third trip to Texas with the Shop Girls. When asked about competing against college students, Sethi admitted it can be “a little intimidating. College students have more experience but we’re doing a good job as high school students,” Sethi said. “It’s all about learning and trying new things.”
Sethi is trying new things this year like driving the eco car. Though excited about this new role, she is sad it is her last year to compete. Both Granite Falls teams are leaving next Wednesday for Houston.
