Work party on trail
The Snohomish Parks Foundation will hold a Centennial Trail work party from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday on the trail between Bowen and Second streets in Snohomish, rain or shine.
Volunteers are invited to help weed, prune, pick up trash or weed-whack for a half-hour or more. Bring gloves and gardening tools. Water, coffee and doughnuts will be provided. For more information, call Paul Kaftanski at 425-238-3455.
Join Marysville’s salary commission: Three members of the Marysville Salary Commission are nearing the end of their terms and the city is seeking new members. Members must be residents of Marysville and are limited to two three-year terms. The commission meets annually, as necessary, to conduct reviews of the mayor and city council members’ compensation. Public hearing: The Mill Creek City Council has scheduled a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The hearing is to take public comment on an ordinance that declared a moratorium on applications for site plans or changes in the zoning district of a mixed-use development known as the East Gateway Urban Village along 132nd Street SE, east of 35th Ave. SE.
A copy of the ordinance is available on the city’s website under documents. Written comments may also be submitted to the city clerk before the hearing.
