Marysville seeks salary commissioner
The City of Marysville needs one more person to serve on the city’s Salary Commission.
The commission meets annually to review compensation for the mayor and City Council. Members are appointed for three-year terms.
To apply, residents of the city should submit a letter of interest or résumé (or both) by Sept. 21 to Deputy City Clerk April O’Brien at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville WA 98270, or by email to aobrien@marysvillewa.gov. For more information, call 360-363-8077 or go to marysvillewa.gov/319/Salary-Commission.
Fire station changes: The sale of Fire Station 75 at 13725 Lost Lake Road has closed. Snohomish County Fire District 7, based in Clearview, received nearly $567,850 for the property.
The district eventually plans to close Station 74 in Maltby and open a new fire hall on Fales Road. County property records show the buyer of Station 75 is Lost Lake Properties, a limited liability company with an address in Lynnwood. The station was built in 2008, according to the real estate listing.
Bird Fest needs help: The Puget Sound Bird Fest in Edmonds is just weeks away and volunteers are needed for the Sept.12 event. Help is needed at the registration table, with children’s activities, and as room monitors during speaker presentations. Knowledge of birds is not required, just a willingness to help with this community event. Most activities requiring volunteers will take place at the Francis Anderson Center in downtown Edmonds. Call Jenn Leach at 425-771-0227 or email Jennifer.leach@edmondswa.gov. Event information is available at www.pugetsoundbirdfest.org.
