Give: Blood drive planned for Monday

The Oak Harbor Lions Club will sponsor a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the First United Methodist Church, 1050 SE, Ireland St., Oak Harbor. Walk-ins are welcome. If you have not donated in the last 56 days, you can donate again. Treats and beverages will be served to donors. For more information, call 800-398-7888.

Volunteer: Help at visitor center

The Marysville Tulalip Visitor Center is looking for volunteers to work at least once a week for up to four hours at a time, any day of the week. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Volunteers would direct visitors to information that would help them get around the city and state, answer phones and mail fliers. For more information, contact Sylvia Johnston at 360-659-7700.

Volunteer: YWCA seeks beautician

The YWCA of Snohomish County is looking for a licensed beautician willing to provide free haircuts for women using the clothing program. Free haircuts would be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. on two Thursdays a month. The Working Women’s Wardrobe program in Everett offers free professional clothing to low-income women seeking clothing for an interview or job. Fundraiser: Raffle for guitar

Stanwood High School Band Booster is offering a chance to win a new Ibanez acoustic guitar to raise money to send Stanwood’s top bands to Kiwanis Festival. The raffles are held during the weekly teen jam nights at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, at Cyndy’s Broiler, 27021 102nd Ave NW, Stanwood. Raffle tickets cost $3. The winning ticket will be drawn during a band bingo fundraiser at the high school in March, on a yet-to-be determined date. For more information, go to www.CyndysBroiler.com.

Fundraiser: PTA auction

Stanwood Elementary School will hold its annual PTA auction and dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 10 at the school gym, 10227 273rd Place NW, Stanwood. Ticket costs are $5 pre-sale or $10 at the door. Free child care will be provided for school-age children. Donations are still being accepted; gift baskets, products, services and gift certificates are welcome, as are cash and in-kind donations. Fundraiser: Humane Society dinner

The Humane Society in Arlington is holding a benefit dinner and auction to from 1:30 to 5 p.m. March 11 at The Old Spaghetti Factory in 2509 S.W. 196th St., Lynnwood. The cost is $26.
