SEATTLE — Rainfall records were set Sunday in Seattle and Olympia for the date.
The National Weather Service says 1.54 inches fell at Sea-Tac Airport, breaking the old record for April 7 of .63 set in 1984. And .85 fell at the Olympia Airport breaking the record of .67 also set in 1984.
Forecasters say a little more than 3 inches of rain have fallen so far this April at Sea-Tac Airport — already ahead of the normal 2.71 inches for the month and close to the wettest first week of April on record.
