STANWOOD — Community development director Ryan Larsen is stepping up to the city administrator job in August.
Stanwood Mayor Leonard Kelley recently announced that Larsen will serve as interim administrator to replace Deborah Knight, who resigned from the city of Stanwood to take a job in Monroe. Kelley plans to find a permanent replacement for Knight in early 2018.
Larsen has been community development director in Stanwood for three years. He previously worked as planning director in Anacortes and as a senior planner for Snohomish County. He grew up in Arlington and served on the Arlington City Council for three years. He’ll start as Stanwood city administrator Aug. 14.
