EVERETT — Aviation Technical Services (ATS) has hired Paul Dolan to oversee the company’s commercial strategy.
The Everett-based company does maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work on commercial jetliners at Paine Field and Moses Lake in Washington; Kansas City, Missouri; and Fort Worth, Texas. It is one of the country’s MRO enterprises and has expanded rapidly in recent years.
“As we continue to grow our company and expand our integrated service offering, it became apparent that we needed a senior commercial leader to tie all our services together and approach the marketplace on a global scale,” ATS President Brian Hirshman said in a news release.
ATS management created a position — chief commercial officer — for Dolan.
“His forward-thinking approach combined with 20 years of aerospace leadership experience is perfectly suited for this critical role,” Hirshman said.
Previously, Dolan spent nearly five years at Chromalloy, which repairs and produces parts for commercial and military jets. He was a vice president overseeing two business units. Before then, he ran sales and marketing at Avioserv, which provides aftermarket services for JT8D and CFM engines around the world. He also spent nine years in the U.S. Navy as an F/A-18 pilot.
