2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend Sasquatch Designed For Adventure

People Who Love The Outdoors Will Love This Ford SUV

Now that Bronco is back, Ford continues to refine, tweak and provide customers even more options to make their final choice a tough one.

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend with Sasquatch Package is a case in point. Yet siblings Sport Heritage, Sport Free Wheeling, Sport Outer Banks, Sport Badlands, and Bronco Raptor models deliver small SUV buyers options.

And the high-performance Sasquatch off-road package can be added to meet the needs of consumers that demand big performance and G.O.A.T (Go Over Any Terrain) versatility. From deserts to rocky trails to forested two-tracks that lead to the adventure-filled wilderness, Big Bend Sasquatch delivers.

“Bronco Sport customer love the outdoors and go off-roading 3.5 times as often as the owners of competitive vehicles and camping twice as often,” Matt Simpson, Ford Enthusiast vehicles general manager said. “They want to know they can overcome obstacles that come their way, which drove designers and engineers to push the Bronco Sport to a new level of capability and performance to let our customers have more fun off road,” he said.

Sasquatch adds an ultra-rugged twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential. It rides on 29-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires that are the largest in its class. It also include five standard G.O.A.T. modes: sand, slippery, sport, eco and normal that add to the capability of standard four-wheel drive.

Another Sasquatch-exclusive feature are Bilstein rear shocks with position-sensitive damping and piggyback reservoirs. The Bilstein shocks provide a wider range of compression and rebound damping capabilities, to absorb extreme events at higher speeds.

My five-seat tester was powered by a 2.3-liter Ecoboost I-4 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It has a 2,700-pound towing capacity, and delivers 18 miles per gallon fuel economy in the city. Front tow hooks and integrated tie-downs give customers another point for securing a rooftop load and gear. Rated to up to 150 pounds, they stow in the fenders.

Other class-exclusive off-road technologies include trail one-pedal drive along with trail control. The two provide more precise and confident behavior while rock climbing. Trail view, which activate automatically, functions at high and low speeds and shows width-accurate tire overlays.

Even Bronco owners begrudgingly spend more time on pavement than off-road. Bronco Big Bend Sasquatch is equipped with creature comforts to spoil any prima donna. A 12-inch touchscreen control stack, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, audio system with seven speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and smartphone charging, front heated seats, and Ford Co-Pilot 360 are all noteworthy.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 is a comprehensive system of driver-assist technologies that work together to enhance driving safety and convenience. Its primary purpose is to provide drivers with the tools they need to stay safe on the road while also making driving more enjoyable. Innovative features include pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system, and a lane-keeping system.

Additional features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go lane centering, evasive steering assist, and wrong-way alert that uses cameras and sensors to detect if the vehicle is traveling in the wrong direction.
