Beer, wine, spirits: Where to grab a drink in Snohomish County

Rooftop Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Seattle’s Rooftop Brewing at 5 p.m. Sept. 5 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Upper Left Beerfest: The second annual Upper Left Beerfest is Sept. 7 and 8 in downtown Everett. Enjoy beer from more than 30 local breweries, food and live music at the festival, which begins at 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday along Hoyt Avenue between Everett and Hewitt avenues. Tickets are $20 each day or $35 for both.

Everett Beer Week: The inaugural Everett Beer Week runs Sept. 7-15. The week includes a number of events at local breweries, bottleshops and music venues, including the Upper Left Beerfest After Party (Sept. 7 and 8), Bike with the Brewers starting at At Large (Sept. 9), a Fruit Beer Extravaganza at Lazy Boy Brewing (Sept. 11), an IPA Showdown at Toggle’s Bottleshop (Sept. 12) and an Everett Brewers Unite event with all five Everett brewers at At Large Brewing (Sept. 13). Marysville Brew & Cider Fest: Enjoy local beer and cider at this year’s Marysville Brew & Cider Fest from 1 to 9 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. A number of local breweries will be pouring beer, including Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing. Advance tickets are $30 or $35 at the door.

Cider Summit Seattle: The ninth annual Cider Summit Seattle will have more than 50 cideries pouring cider Sept. 7 and 8 in South Lake Union. The festival will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $35 and include 16 tasting tokens and a commemorative glass.

Summerzover concert and Sundiver IPA release party: Everett’s Scuttlebutt Taproom, in partnership with the Everett Music Initative, is presenting a Summerzover concert, the final show of the SS Scuttlebutt summer concert series and featuring music by SISTERS, Kuinka and Fretland at 8 p.m. Sept. 14. The night will also be the official release of Sundiver IPA, Scuttlebutt’s newest beer.

Middleton’s 5 Year Anniversary: Everett’s Middleton Brewing is hosting its 5 Year Anniversary celebration from 2 to 10 p.m. Sept. 15 at the brewery, 607 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite 27A, Everett. Middleton will be releasing five new beers, including a pair of collaborations.

Pike Brewing tasting: Camano Island’s Naked City Brewhouse is hosting Seattle’s Pike Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the brewery, 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., Suite E101, Camano Island.

Skooktoberfest: Arlington’s Skookum Brewery’s annual celebration is Sept. 22 and includes guest appearances from Old Schoolhouse Brewery, Urban Family Brewing Co., Structures Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, San Juan Cigars and Salt Blade handcrafted meats.

Oktoberfest at Lost Canoe: Snohomish’s Lost Canoe Brewing is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration from noon to 10 p.m. Sept. 22 at the brewery, 1208 10th St., Snohomish.

Great Pumpkin Beer Festival: The 14th annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival is Oct. 5 and 6 at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St., Seattle. Hosted by Elysian Brewery, enjoy pumpkin beers from a number of local breweries, a costume contest and live music.
