Hurl a pumpkin

The seventh annual Snohomish Pumpkin Hurl and Medieval Faire is Saturday and Sunday at Alexander Farm Corner (42nd Street SE and Ebey Island Road in Everett) and the pumpkins will be flying. The festival begins at 10 a.m. on both days.

For the pumpkin hurling contest, independent teams build and bring their own pumpkin hurling machines (or trebuchets) to see whose can fling the orange fruit the farthest. There will also be plenty of medieval-themed activities, including armored warrior demonstrations and a medieval weapon and armor museum.
