Is memory loss inevitable as you age? What’s the difference between dementia and Alzheimer’s disease? The Stanwood Senior Center is hosting a free class by the Alzheimer’s Association from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 14 that will cover these questions and more.
The Alzheimer Association of Western and Central Washington presents the class, which will include risk factors, diagnosis, stages of the disease, treatments and resources. The class is appropriate for those with mild memory loss but not for someone with moderate or advanced impairment.
The class is free, but registration is required by Friday. Call Liz Rhine at 206-529-3889 or email lrhine@alz.org to register. Go to [URL]www.alzwa.org/cms/events.asp;http://www.alzwa.org/cms/events.asp[URL] for more information.
The Stanwood Senior Center is at 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood.
