“Christmas in Edmonds”: North Sound Church presents concerts at 4 and 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. The concert is a benefit for the Foundation for Edmonds School District, to aid efforts with feeding school children in crisis situations. Tickets are $12, available at the box office 425-275-9595.

Arlington High School’s “Flight”: The performance vocal group presents “It’s a Wonderful Arlington Christmas Show” at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13, Byrnes Perfoming Arts Center, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd., Arlington. Tickets, $9 general, at the door or online at byrnesperformingarts.org.

“The Word is Peace”: Trinity Lutheran College concert choir and chamber ensemble present an advent concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Trinity Episcopal church, 2301 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Admission is free.

“In the Mood”: Musical variety show by Sky Performing Arts, 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6 and 3 p.m. Dec. 7, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. For tickets, call 425-258-6766. Also at 8 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13 and 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Junction, 114 N. Lewis St., Monroe. This annual World War II-era big band production recreates what a USO show on the front lines at the close of the war might have been like. The Sky Notes Orchestra, a 17-piece band singers, actors, comedians Terry Simon, Greg Norgaard, L. Sam Samano, Robin Hilt, Kelsey Jacobs and Matt &Emily Lauckhart. This year’s tunes include Glenn Miller’s “I Got a Gal in Kalamazoo,” Benny Goodman’s “Loch Lomond,” “My Blue Heaven,” “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive” and dozens of others.

Navy Band Northwest: The band offers its “A Gift of Music” free concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 9, Everett Performing Arts Center. The evening includes New Orleans-style tunes from Deception Brass and rock from Passage, both bands within the band. Christmas classics are on the program. During the event, Santa will make an appearance and the Marine Corps will accep donations for Toys-for-Tots.

Christmas with the Gothard Sisters: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. The Gothard sisters, winners of Best New Irish Artist in the sixth annual Irish Music Awards, return home for a Celtic Christmas concert full of Irish dance and music. Tickets are $18 general, $12 students and seniors. Call 425-275-9595.

Holiday Magic”: The Sno-King Community Chorale, under the direction of Frank DeMiero, performs at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Tickets are $20 or $17 for seniors and students. Call 425-275-9595 for tickets.

Celtic Christmas: Edmonds United Methodist Church offers a special concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at the church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. The concert features Abigail Lennox and the Boston-based band The Beggar Boys. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 seniors (free for children 12 and under) at www.edmondsumc.org.

Tingstad and Rumbel: The Northwest’s Grammy award-winning instrumental duo, Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel, play a concert at 8 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Playing together since 1985, their debut album, “The Gift,” quickly became a holiday classic. For tickets, $20, call 425-258-6766.

Pacifica Chamber Orchestra Christmas Concert: 3 p.m. Dec. 14, First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. More at www.pacificachamberorchestra.org. Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 seniors and students. Tickets are available in advance through Brown Paper Tickets and at the door on concert day. The program includes “Three Preludes for Winds” by Gershwin, Brian Hodgson, double bass, playing the Concerto No. 1 in E Major by Dittersdorf, Concerto Grosso by Vaughan Williams and a Christmas Medley. Cookie reception follows.

“Messiah”: The Christmas portions of the great work by Handel will be perrormed by conductor Lyle Forde and the Arlington Community Choir and Orchestra at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.

Holiday Classics Concert: Kamiak High School orchestra and choir offer a concert at 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave., Everett. Tickets, $5 to $40, available at www.kamiakarts.org.

Reilly and Maloney Holiday Concert: Ginny Reilly and David Maloney, well-known folk duo, perform at 4 p.m. Dec. 14 at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $20 at the door.

Mohsen Yeganeh: The popular Iranian singer, known as the King of Persian Pop, performs at 8 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. The show is sold out, but tickets might be available at the door.

Cascade Symphony’s Holiday Concert: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Program highlights include excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and a sing-along. Director Michael Miropolsky and concertmaster Pamela Liu will be featured in the Vivaldi Concerto for Two Violins in A minor. Due to the demand for tickets, Cascade Symphony urges patrons to return tickets they will not use to the ECA box office. CSO will hold an open dress rehearsal at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14. Although there is no charge for the rehearsal, but people are asked to bring a non-perishable item for the Edmonds Food Bank.

Bronn Journey Christmas Concert: Bronn (harp) and Katherine (vocals) Journey perform at 2 p.m. Dec. 18 and 21, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20, Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish.

Geoffrey Castle Celtic Christmas: Castle plays a concert for all ages at 8 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. A pioneer on the electric six-string violin, he’s played on Broadway and with Blues Traveler, Heart and Yes. Tickets available by calling 425-258-6766. Castle plans to make Everett an annual stop on his Christmas concert tour. Performing with him will be his band, Beth Quist of Cirque du Soleil and Gaelic singer Connor Dunworley, along with bagpipes and drums, dancers and Santa.

March 4th Marching Band: This Portland group performs at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett.

Mark O’Connor: The famed Mountlake Terrace-native fiddler plays an “Appalachian Christmas Concert” at 7 p.m. Dec. 21, Meany Theater, University of Washington. See www.artsuw.org.

“Our Gay Apparel”: Seattle Men’s Chorus makes a stop in Everett for a concert at 8 p.m. Dec. 20 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave. Tickets are $28 to $48.

Heart By Heart: The band, considered a spin-off because it includes Heart’s co-founding member and bassist Steve Fossen and original Heart drummer Mike Derosier, also includes Somar Macek, Randy Hansen, Lizzy Daymont and Bob Rivers. Concert is 8 p.m. Dec. 20 at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Call 425-258-6766 for tickets.

“A Bluegrass Christmas”: Weatherside Whiskey Band plays a concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21 a Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. This four-piece, alt-country and bluegrass ensemble features Whidbey Island native Tanner McInerney, joined by Jakob Singer, Amy Meyer and Jacob Yackshaw, in an evening of holiday song favorites played with a little roadhouse style. Trace Bundy Christmas Concert: The show benefits Monroe’s Take the Next Step organization and its efforts to combat poverty. Curtain is 7 p.m. Dec. 23 at Wagner Performing Arts Center, 639 W. Main St., Monroe. Call 360-794-1022 for $15 advance tickets.

Jazzin’ With the Classics for Christmas: The Stanwood Area Historical Society and Concerts at the Floyd present the concert, featuring soprano Linda Tsatsanis, jazz flutist, pianist and clarinetist Martin Lund, classical flutist Jeffrey Cohan and jazz bassist Nate Omdal at 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW, Stanwood. Call 360-629-6110 for more information. Suggested donation is $15. Those 18 and under are free.

Seattle Symphony: “Holiday Pops” with Cirque Musica, Dec. 5-7; Handel’s “Messiah” with the Symphony Chorale on Dec. 19-21; Benaroya Hall, Seattle. Information and tickets at www.seattlesymphony.org or 206-215-4747.

Messiah Sing: The annual sing-along concert, with harpsichord, orchestra and soloists at St. Aidan Episcopal Church on Camano Island is 7 p.m. Dec. 30 at the church, 1318 Highway 532. More information is available by calling 360-939-0260.
