Tim Noah’s Thumbnail Theater turns into comedy central this weekend when two headliners — one is a Seattle International Stand-Up Comedy Competition winner — share the stage for “Ultra Laugh Lounge.”
The show is being billed on the Thumbnail website as part stand-up comedy, part live late night talk show.
The comedy competition winner is Joe Vespaziani, whose website biography describes him as doing smart, conversational comedy since 1987. He recently released the CD “Ribbed 4 Your Pleasure,” and has appeared on “Almost Live” and opened for “Weird Al” Yankovic on his “Touring With Scissors” tour, according to Vespaziani’s website.
The other headliner is Duane Goad, who conjures laughs from topics such as married life and fatherhood, according to his biography.
Goad has opened for big comics such as Jim Gaffigan and Margaret Cho, and has been featured in commercials for Microsoft, Nintendo and Molson Beer, according to his online biography.
The night’s special guest is new comedian Cody Gammer making his live comedy debut.
“Ultra Laugh Lounge” starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $15 and $10 with student ID. Call 360-568-9412 or go to www.thumbnailtheater.com or www.brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
The show is rated PG-13.
