You’ll see a new face in ‘St. Louis’

Things won’t be quite the same in St. Louis starting Wednesday.

Dane Stokinger will join the cast of “Meet Me in St. Louis” in the role of John Truitt.

Stokinger replaces Jason Kappus, who is leaving for his first national tour of “Legally Blonde.”

Stokinger will take over for the rest of the run, through Jan. 31, of the Village Theatre production at the Everett Performing Arts Center.

Stokinger was last seen at Village Theatre as Arthur Brisbane in “Stunt Girl” and more recently performed in The 5th Avenue Theatre’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

His other Village Theatre Mainstage credits include “Little Women,” “Million Dollar Quartet” and “Once Upon a Time in New Jersey.”

Adapted from the film starring Judy Garland, “Meet Me in St. Louis” is a classic American musical with timeless tunes such as “The Trolley Song,” “Meet Me in St. Louis” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

“Meet Me in St. Louis” plays at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 7 p.m. selected Sundays through Jan. 31 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Tickets start at $17. Call 425-257-8600 or 888-257-3722, or go to www.villagetheatre.org.
