During the school year, teacher Patti Melton volunteers to lead a knitting group for families and students at St. Thomas More Parish School in Lynnwood. The knitting group recently presented scarves they made to the South Snohomish County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter.
The shelter is a volunteer-run service that provides a warm place to sleep and a hot meal to the homeless on nights when the temperature drops below 34 degrees. Learn more at www.weallbelong.org.
