MARTHA LAKE — No one was seriously hurt in a crash involving a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy Thursday near Lynnwood.
A white Volkswagen Passat turned left in front of a deputy’s patrol car around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 164th Street SW and Sixth Avenue W, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The deputy had been headed east. A woman driving the Passat was trying to go south on Sixth.
An ambulance took the deputy to a local hospital as a precaution.
Both vehicles were damaged. The patrol cruiser will be off the road for repairs.
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, Ireton said. The official cause is under investigation.
