Drills may close Naval Station Everett at times on Wednesday

People might hear loud noises from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The same exercise is planned for next week.

EVERETT — Drills may disrupt the entrance to Naval Station Everett on Wednesday.

The gates are expected to close for five-minute intervals between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

People might hear blank gunshots, loudspeaker announcement and emergency sirens. More security than usual is expected in the area during this time.

The same exercise also is planned for Nov. 14.
