EDMONDS — Ferry service resumed just after 2:30 p.m. between Edmonds and Kingston after a bomb threat closed the route earlier in the day, officials said.
Just after 9 a.m., a bomb-threat note was found aboard the ferry Spokane, said Susan Harris-Huether, a ferry spokeswoman. The vessel was evacuated and the route closed. The note was found in a men’s room during boarding. About 16 cars and five people already had boarded, she said. The cars were removed and passengers asked to disembark.
Edmonds Fire and Rescue and the state patrol were called to the scene.
