Country singer coming
Country superstar Carrie Underwood will headline at Comcast Arena on May 29 in what is likely to be one of Everett’s biggest concerts for 2010.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and range from $35 to $55 before service fees.
Tickets will be available at comcastarenaeverett.com, by calling 866-332-8499 or at the arena box office, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Benefit planned to help Devin Wood’s family: An event is planned today to help Devin Wood of Lake Stevens and his family as he battles cancer.
The Jingle Bell Jog and Cancer Walk is noon to 2:30 p.m. at the track at Cavelero Mid High School, 8220 24th St. SE. Santa Claus, a bouncy house, snacks, hot dogs, coffee, cocoa, face painting, a fire truck and raffles are planned. Prizes include a $600 diamond ring.
There is no entry fee but donations are accepted. Wood, 44, was diagnosed in April with stage-four cancer of the tongue.
