All state liquor stores will be open Saturday, July 4.
Hours will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. State stores will be open Friday during regular hours.
Contract liquor stores may also be open on Independence Day.
And by the by, 49 out of 161 state stores are open on Sundays. All 154 contract stores have the option of being open on Sundays. After Wednesday, 58 state stores will be open on Sundays.
Store that will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays include the Monroe store at 304 E. Main St.
Call for firefighters: North County Regional Fire Authority is accepting applications for the position of part-time volunteer firefighter.

Volunteer on development board: Edmonds is seeking volunteers to staff its Citizens Economic Development Commission, which is to determine new strategies for economic development, improve commercial viability, develop tourism and identify new sources of revenue.
Applications for the volunteer commission must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
City Council members and the mayor will appoint commission members, who must reside within city limits.
