Donate pet food
Marysville Community Food Bank and Scrub-A-Mutt have joined together to help gather pet food.
Donations of pet food can be dropped off at the Marysville Community Food Bank, Quil Ceda Veterinary Hospital, Sundeck Tanning Salon, VCA Animal Hospital and Vinaccio Coffee.
The food will be distributed to pet owners who are clients of the food bank at 4150 88th St NE in Marysville.
Garage sale benefits charity: HOPE Therapeutic Riding Center plans a garage sale to raise money for its program.
The Whidbey-based center helps people with disabilities through horseback riding.
Donations from the community are needed for the sale, planned from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 7 at the American Legion, 14096 Highway 525 in Langley.
The center also needs volunteers to set up the day before the sale and to help during the sale.

Join health event: Vendors may participate in the third annual Healthy Communities Challenge Day on June 4.
Applications are due by May 5 to be part of the event scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Allen Creek Elementary School, 6505 60th Drive NE in Marysville.
A $10 donation reserves a 10-by-10-foot tent space.
