Join in the Great American Fire Drill

Fire departments invite everyone Thursday to demonstrate what they know about home escape plans by joining in the Great American Fire Drill.

“If you had a fire in your home would everyone know what to do? Just like fire drills at school, practicing how to get out quickly will make things a little less scary if there is ever a fire in your home,” said Kim Schroeder, public education coordinator for Snohomish County Fire District 1.

Here’s how families can be a part of the world’s biggest fire drill: Download a planning grid at www.firepreventionweek.org and draw a simple floor plan of your house.
