Fourteen Snohomish County heroes will be honored at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.
The American Red Cross Snohomish County Chapter’s 11th annual Real Heroes Breakfast will include award presentations and recounting of the honorees’ lifesaving or extraordinary deeds during the past 12 months.
Breakfast is free, but donations are accepted. Seating is limited.

Tree to be lit in Lynnwood
Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County and South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce offer a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.
Chamber and community members will also meet.
The hospice’s Light Up a Life campaign provides an opportunity to place a symbolic light on a tree to honor the spirit and memory of a loved one.

Medicare session is set for seniors
The Snohomish Senior Center and Senior Services of Snohomish County offers a Medicare Part D enrollment and counseling session at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Snohomish Library, 311 Maple Ave., Snohomish.
The Medicare Part D program takes effect Jan. 1.
