EVERETT — A shooting, a car chase on icy streets and a fight in south Everett sent two people to a hospital Wednesday.
Investigators were looking for six people who showed up in two vehicles — described as a gold Chrysler and a dark gray SUV — around 6 a.m. in the 10600 block of 16th Avenue SE.
The group of six met a man and a woman in a Nissan south of Costco, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. There was a fight. Police believe the disagreement was related to drugs.
One of the six people fired multiple shots, hitting the pair’s Nissan. The car sped off and the six people gave chase.
Roads were slick from snow and frigid temperatures.
Outside it was 17 degrees.
The Nissan and another vehicle involved in the chase collided in an S-curve on the north end of Silver Lake, Snell said. A second fight, with no gunfire, left the man and woman hurt. They were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Their injuries weren’t life-threatening.
