SEATTLE — The Washington Transportation Department says driving I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass will be an iffy proposition through Wednesday with a potentially major snowstorm in the forecast.
Transportation crews shut down travel over the pass for seven hours during daylight hours Tuesday to control for avalanche danger. The pass is the main east-west highway in Washington state.
Department spokesman Travis Phelps has warned travelers to be prepared for additional intermittent closures.
