Jetty Island is open for the season. The 2-mile long island is flat and sandy and a great place for kids. Dogs are not allowed, except for service animals. Jetty has special programs, nature walks, interpretive classes, treasure hunts and more. There are no lifeguards on duty or food vendors. The beach is open daily through Sept. 5. Ferries depart from Jetty Landing by the Port of Everett’s boat launch at 10th Street and West Marine View Drive. The ferry runs from 9:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. There’s a $3 fee for parking. A donation of $2 for adults, $1 for kids is suggested for the ferry ride. For ferry reservations call 425-257-8304. Reservations are recommended, but those without can ride if seats are available.
