LYNNWOOD — At least five cars were destroyed Thursday when a garage and car port caught fire in Lynnwood.
The fire, which was reported around 4:30 p.m., occurred in the 3800 block of 176th Street SW near Spruce Way.
No one was home when the fire broke out, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
The fire appeared to start in the garage. Smoke also got into the home.
Damage was estimated at $115,000.
A cat in the basement survived and was reunited with the homeowners, officials said.
Firefighters from Lynnwood and Snohomish County Fire District 1 were called to the scene.
No one was injured.
