MARYSVILLE — Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting inside a Marysville apartment Dec. 30.
Redmond police arrested a 26-year-old Buckley man and his girlfriend, 22. They were booked Tues
day into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery and first-degree assault.
Marysville patrol officers on Dec. 30 found a Marysville man kneeling and bleeding outside the front door of his apartment in the 1900 block of First Street.
Police believe the man, 22, was hit in the head with the gun and shot. His left ear was partially detached and there appeared to be a gunshot wound to the back of his neck. The injuries were not life-threatening, Marysville Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
Two bullet holes were found in a bedroom wall.
An Edmonds man, 20, was arrested Jan. 5 in connection with the shooting. He has been jailed on $500,000 bail.
The shooting victim told investigators that the Edmonds man was selling heroin for him. He said the suspect arrived at the apartment with another man who pulled out a black revolver and pointed it at him.
The Marysville man told police he pushed the gun to the side and it went off. He said the next thing he remembers was waking up bleeding from the head and neck. He reported about $1,000 in cash missing from his pocket. His heroin and an iPod Touch also were stolen.
Detectives arrested the Edmonds man after he allegedly tried to sell the iPod Touch and a computer on Craigslist.
The Buckley man told his girlfriend the gun accidentally went off when he tried “to pistol whip the victim,” according to a police affidavit of probable cause. She was arrested because she allegedly drove the getaway car, Lamoureux said.
“We are very pleased that all of the suspects associated with this violent crime have been arrested,” Lamoureux said.
