CORVALLIS, Ore. — Police in Washington state have detained two people in the murder of a Corvallis man whose body was found last month in a grove of trees. They are expected to be extradited to Oregon.
Two men already face charges.
The Corvallis Gazette-Times reported that 26-year-old Douglas Hile was being held Wednesday in Mount Vernon, as a fugitive in the killing Sept. 6 of 22-year-old Giovanni Blancas-Frutero of Corvallis.
The paper said a woman, Katie Frye, also was held as a fugitive in the case, but no other information about her was available.
In Oregon, 29-year-old Santiago Mendez Flores is charged with murder, 19-year-old Jose Luis Brambila with weapons violations.
Court documents allege that Flores “either directly caused or aided in the murder” of Blancas-Frutero with Brambila and Hile.
