Protect: Learn basic car seat safety

Safe Kids of Snohomish County offers a free child car seat class 7-9 p.m. March 5 — and the first Thursday of every month — at Providence Regional Medical Center’s Medical Office Building, 1700 13th St., Everett.

The class provides training on basic car seat instruction, state car seat laws, best practices and more. The class is intended for medical professionals, DSHS transporters, social workers, police officers and firefighters, as well as parents, grandparents and caregivers.

“There are so few of us technicians out there. To touch every seat in the county would be impossible,” said Shawneri Guzman of Safe Kids. These classes help the program reach more people.
