CONCRETE — An off-road crash Sunday afternoon near Dearinger Park Road seriously injured someone who had to be rescued and airlifted to a trauma center.
Darrington Fire District 24 crews used an all-terrain vehicle to reach the person, who was in the Skagit County part of the fire district. First responders drove the patient to an ambulance, which then met an Airlift Northwest helicopter nearby.
The response prompted crews to sanitize and deep-clean the equipment because of concerns over COVID-19, Darrington Fire said in a Facebook post.
