SPOKANE — Police say a 17-year-old confessed to stabbing a woman to death in May on a Spokane trail near the apartment building where they both lived.
The confession is part of court documents filed Wednesday in Spokane against Avondre Graham who faces a second-degree murder charge in the slaying of Sharlotte McGill.
The Spokesman-Review reported that Graham said he hit McGill in the head with a rock and then stabbed her after she used a racial slur and made a derogatory comment about the music he was listening to.
Graham also faces charges in attacks on two other women in the same area where McGill was killed. He told detectives he attacked the women because he wanted them to feel his pain.
