MARYSVILLE — A man who implied he had a weapon robbed a downtown bank Thursday afternoon, Marysville police said.
The unshaven white man, who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, entered Union Bank on the 1000 block of State Avenue about 5 p.m., police said. He showed a note demanding money and ran out a door westbound with an undetermined amount of cash. Nobody was hurt.
Witnesses told police the man was about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build and sandy-brown hair. He wore a dark-gray or black Carhartt jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The FBI was assisting Marysville police with the investigation.
Authorities are asking anyone who has information about the robbery, or who might be able to help identify the suspect, to contact detective Dan Vinson at 360-363-8300.
