Daughters of Norway Sewing Clubs were meeting. Club No. 2 was meeting with Agathe Erickson, 1509 20th St., with Ida Nelson as assistant hostess. Club No. 3 was gathering with Gyda Christofferson at 2420 Virginia Ave., with Ester Torgerson assisting. Visitors were welcome.
Those wishing to improve their dancing skills for the holidays could visit the Novikoff School at 3317 Colby Ave. on Thursdays. Two-for-the-price-of-one lessons were given in fox trot, waltz, South American, Avalon, Scandinavian and swing.
Fifth-graders in Pat Aaby’s class at Whittier Elementary School prepared a special turkey dinner around the wood stove in the home of Joni Smith. This year, Aaby teamed up with his wife, Sue, a teacher at Jackson Elementary School, and her second- graders. Reulyn Nelson of Judd and Black supervised the cooking.
John Fluke Manufacturing Co., the largest electronics company in the state, announced the sale of its Mountlake Terrace property to Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska. Fluke was moving to south Everett, said Everts Johns, company vice president and treasurer.
