SPOKANE — Police in Spokane are investigating reports that a suspect is attacking or threatening people, most of them homeless, with pepper spray.
One victim, William Faust, told police he was attacked twice by the same man. In one case, Faust said the man sprayed him with pepper spray and told him to get out of town. Faust was also badly beaten.
The Spokesman-Review said police are investigating the possibility that several incidents over the past month are linked.
Capt. Brad Arleth said a detective has been assigned to the case and police are taking it very seriously.
Some homeless people said they’re worried they could be next.
Faust said many people are camping further outside of town and sticking in larger groups for safety.
